Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1780-1790.

Cherry tall-case clock. The hood has a molded arch pediment with a carved solid fret, three brass urn-and-spire finials on plinths, free-standing turned columns with gilt capitals and bases at the front corners, and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove and ogee moldings at the top and a case door with a molded edge and an astragal top. Base with cove and ovolo moldings at the top, ovolo molding at the bottom, a scalloped skirt, and supported on straight bracket feet. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved winged heads in the spandrels, and an engraved bird in the lunette. Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial with an engraved star motif at the center, and an applied roundel with a calendar aperture and the inscription "B Willard." Eight day movement.
